Princess Diana Owned Vest Donated To Poland Fund
This woolen vest from St Michael's, London was personally owned and worn by Diana Spencer in the 1970's. Diana is seen in many photographs wearing woolen vests. It was donated along with a number of items to the "Help The Poland Fund." Poland was under martial law in the early 1980's and in desperate need of help in the form of medical aid along with clothing and blankets. It comes with a letter from the person whose mother was a volounteer and who worked closely with Lady Salisbury in this effort which was a great sucess. Still in good condition, It comes with the original name label that was supposed to have been removed. The pictures are not included and they are not the vest that is being sold. Quoting from the letter: "A massive amount of clothing and blankets were donated from all over the world, including a considerable amount of clothing from the Prince & Princess of Wales who were so very generous in their giving. Volunteers were instructed to remove all labels from clothing, in particular those that pertained to the Royal Couple."
