Poster of the movie "Matzor" (siege) starring Gila Almagor and Dan Ben Amotz.
The book is based on a bereaved mother (Gila Almagor) as protagonist trying to beat her bereavement after the loss of her husband at the Six Day War.
Produced by Ya'akov Agmon, Directed by Gilberto Topeno. Cinematography by David Garfunkel. Music by Yochanan Zaray (the theme song "at the end of the day" performed by singer Avi Toledano won great success).
The movie Matzor was a candidate for the Cannes Film Festival Palme d'Or 1970.
