First Edition of "Pnei Yehoshua", 1739-1752. Printed by the Author.

First edition of the famous novellae of one of the greatest Talmudic commentators. The Pnei Yehoshua novellae have been published in many editions, and to this day are studied throughout the Jewish world. The first two parts in this volume were printed by the author in his lifetime. He began the publication of the third part and died before completing that work.
Part 1: On Tractates Berachos, Shabbos, Pesachim, Beitza, Rosh Hashanah, Sukkah, Megilla and some novellae on Tractate Yoma.
Framkfurt am Main, 1752. [2], 52; 66; 50; 37; 29; 26; 31 ff. Two title pages [the second title page is in the second part, instead of the title page missing there]. Stefansky Sifrei Yesod No. 78
Part 2: On Tractates Kesubos, Gittin, Kedushin
Amsterdam 1739. 4; 115; 106; 81; 26 ff. This volume lacks the title and subsequent page. In their place was inserted the additional title page of volume 1. Apparently 6 pages at the end are also missing. Stefansky Sifrei Yesod No. 78.
