Sefer Drush Tefillas Yesharim by Rabbi Yaakov Emden Including Moral Lessons, Altona 1755
First edition sefer Drush Tefillas Yesharim authored by Rabbi Yaakov Emden and published in his home in Altona, 1755.
Rabbi Yaakov Emden reproaches in a very sharp manner: "they shave the hairs of their heads and destroy the hair of their beards… and instead of tzitzis and tefillin they grow hair and foreign wigs…" He also rebukes the women "who are meticulous in the embellishments of their garments that it be first class in style like the constitutions of the nations."
There is a section with mussar regarding humility titled
"Chalei Kessem" which begins on leaf 22a.
