Siranush (real name — Merope Isaakovna of Kantarjian; 25 may 1857, Constantinople, June 10, 1932, Cairo) — an outstanding Armenian actress. Game Siranush was deeply emotional, bright temperament, a unique interpretation of the characters received a high rating of M. N. Ermolova, A. I. Yuzhin-Sumbatov. 1873 — she began performing at the theater of P. Magakyan in Istanbul . 1875 — joined the theatre troupe of Hakob Vardovyan in Istanbul. She played in performances in Armenian and Turkish.
