The title pages of both books have Rabbi Nechemiah Alter's owner's stamp: "נחמי' אלטר מגור כעת באוטוואצק"
Rabbi Nechemiah Alter [1875-1942], aside from his being a direct paternal descendant of the glorious Gur dynasty, is also multiply related to all of the Admo"rim of Gur through the generations. He was a son of the Admo"r, author of Sefat Emet of Gur; and brother of the Admo"r, the author of Imrei Emet; father-in-law of the author of Lev Simchah, and grandfather of the Admo"r of Gur, shlit"a.
