Autograph Letter from the Chazon Ish, Bnei Brak, 1933
Handwritten and signed postcard from the Chazon Ish addressed to his friend, Rabbi Moshe Rosen, author of Nezer HaKadosh.
The letter was written several months following the Chazon Ish's immigration to Eretz Yisrael and discusses obtaining an entry visa for Rabbi Moshe. Rabbi Shmuel Greineman, the Chazon Ish's brother-in-law, was involved in arranging the visa.
Written on a postcard. There is a marginal comment containing Torah novellae on a Tosfos in tractate brachos.
The Chazon Ish signed the letter and marked his name on the backside of the postcard as well: A. Karelitz Bnei Brak
Rabbi Moshe Rosen served as the Rabbi of Kiejdany, the hometown of the Chazon Ish's wife, and was the mesader kiddushin at their wedding. Following his marriage, the Chazon Ish and Rabbi Moshe became study partners, during which time a close bond was formed. It is Rabbi Moshe Rosen who revealed the Chazon Ish's true greatness to Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinsky, who then publicized the Chazon Ish to the world.
