A water color painting by Roger Louis Henri Maillart depicting a Cossack in red cherkeska. signed and dated 1897, signed and dated LR. From his first exhibition in 1891 at the Salon of French Artists, Roger Maillart is marked by this subject and the taste of representing soldiers in uniform, a reflection of paternal equity.
