Lashon HaZahav - novellae on tractate Eiruvin by Rabbi Ze'ev Wolf of Lizhensk, disciple of the author of Noam Elimelech.
The author, Rabbi Ze'ev Wolf, was rabbi of Lizhensk for many years, during the time of Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk, author of Noam Elimelech, and he was one of his disciples. Rabbi Ze'ev Wolf was among the approbators of the book Noam Elimelech in its first edition, and his approbation was printed first among them! According to what is written on this title page "Leader of the pack, illuminating mirror ... who resides here, Divine angel ... friend of Rabbi Elimelech ... passed away at the advanced age of 113 years in Lizhensk," he passed away a few years after the author of Noam Elimelech. Rabbi Avraham Yosef Fischer of Lodz edited the manuscript and arranged it for print, and he signed the copy before us in his hand.
The book was given 30[!] approbations by leading Admo"rs, aside Rabbi Chaim of Brisk: the Admo"rs of Shinova, Bobov, Boyan, Ostrova, Gur, Sochachov, Trisk, Alexander, Vorka, Radomsk, Lublin, Biala, Sadigura, Chortkov, Husiatyn, and many more.
There are copies without all the leaves of approbations. The copy before us is with all the leaves of approbations and with the last leaf, which also has the list of subscribers.
