Lot of 3 books, first editions from the books of Rabbi Elazar Pleklas, one of which has a handwritten correction by the author
1. Chazon LaMoed from the Raf, first section, drashot on mo’adim—first edition Prague 1824. Thick, high quality paper. [2], 32 pages. Tear on the last page, first pages disconnected. Generally very good condition. Self-dedication on the cover: ‘I was honored to receive this from the author, Yehuda Leib…[?]’. Given by the author, who died 2 years after the book was printed.

2. Chazon LaMoed from the Raf, first section, drashot on mo’adim—first edition Prague 1824. Thick, high quality paper. [2], 32 pages. Generally very good condition. Page 2 has a handwritten correction by the author himself. On the back of the bindings are taped printed pages on Mishnayot of Orla and Bikkurim with the commentaries of the Rambam and the Rosh.

3. Olat Chodesh, first section from Mili d’Shmaya. Drashot. First edition, Prague 1785. [13], 106 pages. Tape on the first three pages. Generally very good condition. Original binding is worn.

Gaon Rabbi Elazar Pleklas (1754-1826) was the son of Rabbi David, a descendent of the Maharal of Prague, and Rabbi Heschel of Krakow. Student of Rabbi Yehezkel Landau (the Noda B’Yehuda), and head of the Prague Beit Din at the time. Known as the Tshuva M’Ahava, and known for these books and more.
