The book Shem Hagedolim – The Lives and Writings of Gedolei Yisrael, by the Chida. Warsaw, 1876. Bound with Shem HAgedolim Hechadash, by Rabbi Aharon Walden. Warsaw, 1879.
Inside the book there are handwritten glosses, signed by Rabbi Eliezer Sofer, author of Be'er Eliezer. [Warsaw, 1872, by Rabbi Eliezer ben Rabbi Gronam Sofer of Novardok, who lived in Zaslaw, next to Minsk]. In the notes, he mentions things that he wrote in his book, and they do indeed appear in that book. – See enclosed photocopies.
