Two Esther Scrolls, 19th century
1. Esther scroll [the Balkans? 19th cent.]. Ink on vellum of good quality. Wooden handle, carved and painted. Vellish script (Sephardic) particularly fine, artistic serifs. 24 lines per page. Vellum height: 31 cm. Fading ink of a black-brown color. 2. Esther scroll. [Morocco? 19th/20th cent.]. Black ink on vellum. Large Sephardic script. 22 lines per page. Vellum height: 29.5 cm. Black ink. Stains and wear. Cloth cover (unraveled), sewn in the opening of the first sheet.
