Souvenir Statuette from the 14th Zionist congress. Vienna, [1925].
Painted porcelain, marked with maker's emblem (Goldscheider).
White porcelain Statuette of an elderly man, walking, taking a wide step. His head and body are leaning forwards; holding a cane in his right hand (the cane is missing). The man has a very long beard reaching down to his knees and he wears a long dress, torn at the edges, and is barefoot. The road on which the figure is pacing is a floral trail, colorful. Inscribed on the stand in black letters (Hebrew) "Souvenir from the 14th Zionist Congress in Vienna 1925". In the center appears the inscription “The Way” (in Hebrerw and English).
Height: 22 cm. Stand – width: 7 cm, depth: 12 cm. Marked on the inner side "Made in Austria" with a serial number. Good condition, chip missing from the base, below maker's mark.
