Collection of books and a large archive of hundreds of leaves and notebooks of manuscripts, letters, receipts and various ephemera, from the home of the Jerusalem Kabbalist Rabbi Moshe Ya'ir Weinstock and his son Rabbi Yitzchak Shmuel Weinstock.
The Jerusalem Kabbalist, Rabbi Moshe Ya'ir Weinstock (1899-1982), of the family of Lelów Rebbes, disciple of Jerusalem Kabbalists and Rebbes, disciple of the Moharil Ashlag, author of the Sulam. Published dozens of books on kabbalah, Halacha, Chassidism and musar.
• Books of prayer and kabbalah, chumashim and Halacha from the library of Rabbi Moshe Ya'ir Weinstock. Many books have his signatures and glosses.
Among the books: • Three volumes of Siddur HaRashash, Jerusalem, 1911. • Tza’akat Bnei Yisrael, 1910. • Mishnat Chassidim with Magid Mishne. Lemberg 1878. • Tehillim, Likutei Orot U’Panim Yafot. Self-dedication that he received the book from the publisher Rebbe Moshe Yechiel Epstein of Ożarów. • Siddur Beit Ya’akov (R’ Ya’akov Emden) and Siddur Tefillat Rashi. • Full set of Chumashim Rav Pninim Mikraot Gedolot. • Zohar, Be’urei HaZohar, Zohar with Or Yakar, Chok L’Yisrael and more (total of 27 volumes).
• Paperwork concerning Kollel Warsaw-Poland, (contains a 9-page typewritten letter to the Sochaczew Rebbe, from 1928 about the dispute over the management of the kollel – which was an aftermath of the Ger-Alexander polemic at that time).
• Letters and manuscripts in the handwriting of Rabbi Moshe Ya’ir Weinstock and others: letters written by R’ M.Y. from the US to his son in Jerusalem, manuscript of a Kabbalistic essay on the topic of Torah Lishma. Etc.
• A whole box with binders and notebooks of manuscripts, copies of manuscripts and typewritten leaves with handwritten glosses, material for books in stages of editing. Most of them are books edited by Rabbi Weinstock’s son, Rabbi Yitzchak Shmuel Weinstock.
