Long Autographic Letter from Rabbi Chana Halberstam of Kolshitz
" I will inform you that all our hearts' desire to strengthen the ways of our holy fathers and not to connect to the Zionists or to the new new Jews calling themselves “Agudah”… which is all nonsense. It is all another way of straying from the path of our holy fathers…"
Rabbi Chana of Kolshitz (1900 - 1942) was the son of Rabi Menachem Mendle of Frysztak who was a grandson of the Divrei Chaim, and a son-in-law of the Rabbi of Shinowa. Known for his holiness and piety, he was appointed Rabbi of Kolshitz already in his youth. He was one of the prominent Admorim of the Sanz dynasty and was compared by his uncle, Rabbi Yeshaya of Chekhov, to the Divrei Chaim himself. He was killed on the second day of Chol Hamo'ed Sukkos.
