Rabbi Moshe Ya'akov Ravikov (1873-1967) - the "Holy Shoemaker" from Shabazi Street in Tel Aviv-Jaffa was a hidden tsaddik, kabbalist and wonder-worker. Born in Lithuania, a disciple of Rabbi Shlomo Elyashiv author of Leshem Shvo V'Achlama [the Leshem]. After his Aliya to Eretz Israel, he moved to Jaffa and opened a shoemaking workshop. Although he hid himself and his powers, the generation's leaders and kabbalists recognized his amazing righteousness, cleaved to him and became his disciples.
