. MasechetAvodahZarah and Eduyot—Berlin 1866. Copy of Rabbi Yaakov Landau, stamps from his rabbinate in Leivoy and in BneiBrak.
Tractate AvodahZarah and Tractate Adiyot of the Babylonian Talmud printed in Berlin 1866. Copy owned by the Chief Rabbi of BneiBrak, Rabbi Ya'akovLanda from the rabbanut in Leivoy, Lithuania and later from Rabbanut in the city of BneiBrak [a different stamp than the stamp he used for kashrut certificates]. Rabbi Ya'akovLanda (1893-1986) served as Rabbi and Av Beit Din of BneiBrak for 30 years and was a member of the Rabbinical Court of Chabad, born in Korenitz, White Russia, to his father Rabbi Moshe Yehuda LeibLanda, He was replaced by the Rebbe of Lubavitch. He served as a rabbi as a rabbi in Leyvau [Latvia] where he married. He later founded the TiferetBachurim Yeshiva in Moscow for the BaaleiTeshuvah. He was very close to the Chabad Rebbes from the RebbeHaRashav and to Rabbi Menachem Mendel - the last Chabad Lubavitcher Rebbe. He immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1934 and served as Rabbi of Ramatayim for a few months and was appointed rabbi of the BneiBrak settlement, which he managed for a period of about three years, establishing a kashrut system that is considered to be the pioneer and pioneer in kashrut in Israel and abroad. His son, Yehuda LeibLanda, succeeded him in his position and died a few months ago.
