The "Unforgettable Art" Association invites you to an experience of qualitative Israeli art by the best Israeli artists.
During the exhibition, an art auction will be held aiming to raise money for a grant fund for plastic artists in need, in accordance with the goals of the Association, which are: supporting artists in life-saving and life improving projects, assistance in raising funds for the purchase of food and medicine, assistance in financing medical treatment in Israel and abroad, including the purchase of medical devices and assistance to veteran artists and/or their families in the removal, storage, sale and perpetuation of their works.
Some items will not be displayed in the "Agam" gallery
You are invited to take part of this exciting project and to participate in the launching of the Association and in the Art Evening Auction.
The festive event will take place on Saturday night, 17.8.2019 at 19:30.

נולד בדרזדן, גרמניה בשנת 1933.
בגיל שנתיים עלה עם אמו לארץ ישראל והחל את פעילותו האמנותית בשנות החמישים של המאה העשרים.
על אף שיצירתו של תומרקין התאפיינה בשינויים סגנוניים ותוכניים רבים, בציוריו ופסליו מצויים ביטויים של מחאה תרבותית ואנטי-מלחמתית, המעידים על מעורבות עמוקה בתרבות הישראלית.
גני פסלים שלו נמצאים באתרים שונים ברחבי הארץ (חולון, מושב בורגתה, כוכב הירדן ועוד) ופסלים ואנדרטאות מוצבים בארץ (תל אביב, רמת גן, הרצליה, ירושלים, חיפה, קריית שמונה, באר שבע, ערד, דימונה ועוד) ובעולם (ארצות הברית, גרמניה, יפן וספרד).

הפסל "הוא הלך בשדות" (ברונזה צבועה, 1965) הנמצא באוסף מוזיאון תל אביב
"האנדרטה לשואה ולתקומה" (פלדה וזכוכית, 1975) המוצבת בכיכר רבין בתל אביב
יגאל תומרקין הוא חתן פרס ישראל בפיסול לשנת 2004
כמו כן זכה בפרס סנדברג לאמנות ישראלית, מוזיאון ישראל ירושלים (1968), פרס דיזנגוף לאמנות הציור והפיסול, עיריית תל אביב-יפו (1985), פרס אני והיינריך זוסמן לאמנים ישראלים אשר נותנים ביטוי ביצירתם למוראות השואה, וינה (1998), ופרסים רבים נוספים.
