Old USA Isolator from Electric Fence, 30s or 40s
This is US telephone/telegraph piece probably made in the 30s or 40s and used as a replacement for glass insulators in high breakage areas.
The threads to screw onto a pin inside: are US standard, and the design mimics the standard Western Union insulator of the mid 20s to about the end of WWII.
