A flat-section carnelian disc with laurel wreath border, standing robed female figure (Victory or Minerva?) in helmet holding a cornucopia in one hand, wreath in the other, enigmatic legend 'NIAR' and flask(?) at her feet. 1.95 grams, 27.99mm (1"). Very fine condition.
Provenance
Property of a London gentleman; acquired by his father in the 1970s; thence by descent.
