Copper Hoard Culture, Uttar Pradesh, Northern India, 1500 BC
A substantial bronze spearhead or harpoon with thick midrib, triangular barbed blade, two pairs of lateral barbs and a pair of lateral lugs above a round-section tang. 915 grams, 36.5cm (14"). Fine condition.
Provenance
Property of a Mayfair lady; formerly in an important London collection formed since 1965.
