A bronze military buckle comprising: a circular loop with ribbing; a D-section tongue with forward edge curved over the loop, transverse ribbing to the rear; discoid plate with concentric rings and surrounding roundels, three radiating pierced lobes and central hole to accept a fixing stud. 27.2 grams, 82mm (3 1/4"). Fine condition.
Provenance
Property of a gentleman; acquired in the late 1960s-early 1970s.
