A bronze finial with double-ribbed collar, round-section shank and terminal in the form of a lion's head with tall rounded ears, defined bow, rounded cheeks and wide mouth. 48 grams, 43mm (1 3/4"). Fine condition.
Provenance
The Signo collection, the property of a West London businessman, formed in the late 1980s-early 1990s; collection number Z-188, academically researched and catalogued by the late Professor Lambert in the early 1990s.
