Early 3rd millennium BC
A ground and polished greenstone axehead, boat-shaped in plan with square rear hammer-face, slightly curved blade. 750 grams, 16cm (6 1/4"). Fine condition.

From the family collection of a South East London collector; formerly acquired in the late 1950s.
