An iron axehead with slender blade and chin to the lower edge; round socket with lateral triangular flanges and long rectangular extension to the rear; mounted on a custom-made stand. 1.8 kg total, 24cm including stand (9 1/2"). Very fine condition. Professionally cleaned and restored.

From the family collection of a South East London collector; formerly acquired in the late 1950s.
