Western Asiatic Silver Leaping Panther
1st millennium AD
A silver mount in the shape of a leaping panther with gently curved body, forepaws extended to each side of the head, ears pulled back to reflect the fierce facial features; short tang below the hindlegs, possibly a vessel handle. 108 grams, 9cm (3 1/2"). Fine condition.
