Precise and detailed map of Palestine, from the Litani River in the north to Beersheba in the south. Large map, linen-backed, folded and housed in a cardboard slipcase.
The Palestine Exploration Fund started working in Palestine in the late 1860s. The mapping and survey of Palestine by the PEF lasted for some ten years, and is considered, among other projects of the fund, the forerunner of scientific research of Palestine.
