Advertising sign for a woolen goods shop. Bad-Homburg (Germany), [ca. mid-19th century)].
Advertisement for a wool spinning workshop and woolen goods shop owned by Joseph Stein in Bad-Homburg, printed on thick cardboard. The shop offered wool yarns in different colors, fabrics as well as men's and women's clothing.
The advertisement announces that the shop is located on 33 Wallstrasse, "By the synagogue". The old Bad-Homburg synagogue was located on Wallstrasse until 1864, when the community established a new synagogue.
Approx. 37X28 cm. Fair-poor condition. Fragile. Fractures and fractures with losses along the margins. Staining. Piece of paper attached to the back. On the back of the sign appears a price list for different kinds of meat (handwritten).
