12 sheet music booklets. Warsaw and Nadvirna, [first decades of the 20th century]. Hebrew, Yiddish, German, French, Russian.
1. "Ta'ame Zimra leShire 'HaZamir'", music for children by different composers. Published by "Moriah-Achiasaf", Warsaw, 1904.
Sheet music booklet for folk songs and pieces by different composers, such as Mendelssohn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schuman, and Jewish composers, like Pinchas Minkowsky, David Novakowsky and Avraham Moshe Bernstein. A dedication on the title page, by Alter Druyanov: "For dear Leah from a. Druyanov. Odessa, 24 Tamuz 1904" (Hebrew).
[1] leaf, 45, [1] pp, 25 cm. Fair-good condition. Detached cover and leaves. Tears, creases and stains.
2. Kovetz Mnaginot, Melodies for Thirty-seven Zionist Songs, Noten-Buch zum singen und spielen zu 37 zionistischen Liedern, arranged by Hermann Ehrlich. Published by "Verein Zion", Nadvirna (Austro-Hungary), 1906. Hebrew, Yiddish, German and Polish. Some of the songs, among them "Al Mot Herzl", "BeShadmot Beth Lehem", "Ness Ziona", and more, were composed by Ehrlich. Most of the other songs are printed with no composer's name.
VIII, 29 pp, 16.5 cm. Good condition. Stains. Slight creases and tears to cover.
3. Mivhar Shire Zion VeShire Am, Zion songs and folk songs by different composers, with musical notes. Published by "HaZamir", Warsaw, 1917.
Songs by poets like Naftali Herz Imber, Shaul Tchernichovsky, H.N. Bialik, Avraham Goldfaden and more, some of them with musical notes. On the cover appear illustrations with Zionist motifs. On the title page – owner's signature, Elhanan Zvi Elchanan Zvi Raczkowski.
[40] leaves, 16X11 cm. Good condition. Stains. Creases. Defects to spine. Ink-stamps.
4-12. Nine sheet-music booklets published by Edition des musiques internationals, Warsaw [ca. first and second decades of the 20th century]. French, German, Russian, Hebrew and Yiddish.
Some booklets contain one song and in others contain two songs. Some of the songs were adapted by Heinrich Pomerantz. The songs: Der "Alef-bet". * Dem Altern rebins nigen. * Dem ravs nigen. * shte oyf mayn folk. * Al tal ve'Al matar / Nes Ziona. * Yud'l mit sayn fidl. * Hatikva / Im Eshkachech. * A brivele der mamen. * Der talles'l.
