"Manot Ketzuvot" – Israel, 1948 – Poster about the Austerity Policy, Designed by Shamir Brothers
State of Israel, food supervision, allocated portions July 1948. Linol: Inst. Z. Bergman, "Nesher" press, Tel Aviv, 1948. Design: Shamir Brothers (signed in the plate "Shamir).
The poster, decorated on both sides with schematic stalks of wheat, lists the allocated portions according to the austerity policy, for the month of July 1948, with distribution for adults, children, pregnant women and instructions for food vendors. On the bottom appears the slogan: "Demand the allocated food portions, keep the distribution Just!".
70.5X50 cm. Good condition. Mounted on cardboard. Stains. Small tears at margins. Open tear at top left corner, with no damage to text. Back was not examined.
