First Chassidic Siddur Ever Printed!!!

Siddur by the Holy Kabbalist Rabbi Shabsai of Raşcov, Koretz 1794

The order of prayers for the entire year, with the intentions of the Ari and customs and additions of the Baal Shem Tov, written according to Sephardi custom.

Edited by Rabbi Shabsai of Raşcov, one of the first Chassidic leaders and a close disciple of the Baal Shem Tov, it is the first Chassidic siddur to include the intentions and customs of the Baal Shem Tov.

The siddur also includes prayers for the High Holidays, general holidays and a Pesach Haggada, and there is an approbation in the beginning of the siddur from Rabbi Zusia of Hanipol and Rabbi Yosef Moshe of Mezritch, disciple of the Baal Shem Tov.

The great Chassidic leaders praised the great holiness of this siddur and longed to see it published. Rabbi Yosef Moshe of Mezritch writes in his approbation: "the siddur of the Arizal from the manuscripts of the deceased… a G-dly man Rabbi Shabsai of Raşcov. And I heard that many of the great leaders of our generation and sages… are longing and wondering when they will merit to see the holy siddur and specifically as it has several new ideas and additions from the Baal Shem Tov in it …"

It is told that Rabbi Chaim of Atinia witnessed how a manuscript of the siddur that was accidentally thrown into a fire did not burn, and Rabbi Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura was quoted saying that he drew all of his vitality from this siddur. The siddur is quoted in all of the Chassidic sefarim countless times.

This siddur has never appeared in an auction in its complete version before.
