"AND HE SHOULD BE BLESSED WITH LASTING CHILDREN" - A letter of Blessing from Rabbi Yitzchak Eizik of Spinka, Author of Chakal Yitzchak
Letter from Rabbi Yitzchak Eizik of Spinka, author of Chakal Yitzchak and son of the Imrei Yosef, blessing the addressee with "children soon."
The letter, written in Spinka, 1928, was in response to a kvitle (note) that had been sent to Rabbi Yitzchak Eizik and the hearty blessing for children was added in his holy handwriting.
Rabbi Yitzchak Eizik of Spinka (1875 - 1944) was the son of the Imrei Yosef, founder of the dynasty, and author of Chakal Yitzchak. Named after his father's rabbi, Rabbi Yitzchak Eizik of Zidichov, he followed the style of Zidichov of sharp scholarship and loud, enthusiastic prayer. He was also known to learn and read his kvitlach out loud. He was murdered in Auschwitz on the 13th of Sivan 1944.
