Holy Land Album, Views and Flowers, Artificial Pictures of the Holy Places, Views of Old and New Jerusalem, The Cities of Judea and Galilea, and all Jewish Colonies in Palestine. Published by "Zvi Kodesh", Monsohn press, Jerusalem [ca. last decade of 19th century].
On one side of the album leaves appear color lithographic prints – views of towns and colonies in the country, among them the first neighborhoods in Jerusalem, titled in Hebrew, English and German. Mounted on the facing leaves appear pressed flowers with a title depicting the site where they were taken from, in five languages: Hebrew, English, German, French and Russian. The album is bound in a decorated olive wood binding, inscribed: "Jerusalem Souvenir Album, 63 Views and Flowers of the Holy Land".
[18] leaves, 15X9 cm. Good condition. Stains. Wear to margins of leaves. Leaves slightly trimmed at margins. Creases and stains to tissue guards. Tears at margins of endpapers. Dedication in pen facing the title page (Palestine, 1918).
Slightly loose binding. Strips of adhesive tape on inner side of binding.
