FAURÉ GABRIEL: (1845-1924) French Composer. A.L.S., Gabriel Faur, one page, 12mo card, n.p. [Paris], n.d. [March 1911], on his professional printed stationery card, as Director of the National Conservatory, to a friend, in French. Faur states `I am obliged to leave, and attend in Monte Carlo to the premiere of Saint Sans. I will therefore not been able to participate in the next commission..« The Saint Sans« opera Faur refers to is, most probably, Dejanire premiered on 14th March 1911 at the Theatre of Monte Carlo.
