FALLA MANUEL DE: (1876-1946) Spanish Composer. An attractive score book, signed and inscribed by Falla, the 9 x 12 hardback edition being a printed musical score of one of his most renowned works La Vida Breve (1905), published by Max Eschig, Paris. Signed and inscribed in black ink to the title page `To my dear Director.. with all my friendship, admiration and deep gratitude. Manuel de Falla.« in French, adding also the date beneath the inscription, Paris 31st January 192?, in his hand. The 122 pages book is attractively bound in dark black and green leather with embossed gilt letters to the spine. Extremely small overall, minor age wear, otherwise VG £200-300 La Vida Breve (1905) (''The Brief Life¬) is a lyric drama in two acts and four scenes, with libretto by the Spanish poet Carlos Fernandez-Shaw, and French adaptation by Paul Milliet. The present score includes words both in Spanish and French.
