Different stamps of Rabbi David Borenstein. At the beginning of Mishlei, his handwritten signature in pencil. Short handwritten glosses and different notations throughout the leaves of Tehillim.
Some of the glosses refer to the hard times.
On leaf 44b, another page was printed by mistake and the Psalms and Rashi commentary were completed by hand on an attached leaf.
Rabbi David Borenstein was the son of the author "Shem Mi'Shmuel", the son of the "avnei Nezer" of Sochaczew. When his father died in 1926, he became the Rebbe of Sochaczew. He died in the Warsaw Ghetto, in Kislev 1942. His complete family perished in the Holocaust. His many books and manuscripts on the Sugiyot of the Talmud and on Halacha and Aggadah were lost.

Condition: Fair. Wear and signs of use. Stains. Original worn binding that is partially detached. In an impressive wood and leather case.
