PEYNET RAYMOND: (1908-1999) French Cartoonist. Creator of the well-known Couple of Lovers in 1942. An original ink 8 x 6 drawing to the left inside page of a folding card, the drawing showing a couple of doves perched on a heart drawn beneath, with his wife´s name `Denise´ and his own one `Raymond´. A bold black ink drawing. To the right inside page, Peynet has written a lengthy and kind inscription to his correspondent, thanking her for the plant present and wishing her the best. The card shows to the front page a printed drawing by Peynard. Accompanied by a postcard signed to the verso by his wife Denise. VG, 2 £200-300
