About The Artist:
Shlomo Naroni Narinsky arrived in Palestine from Russia at the beginning of the 20th century, as a young socialist Zionist. Upon his arrival, he joined the 'worker's commune' in Jerusalem where he befriended, among others, Yitzhak Ben Zvi and David Ben Gurion although he, himself, soon dropped out of active politics and devoted himself to photography and painting.
During one of his trips to Europe the enchanted young artist came on a kind of pilgrimage to the house of the painter Cezanne whose work, as he used to remark, had guided him during his life.
Exhibitions:
Katz Gallery, Tel Aviv, "Maccabi Hall" Haifa
Participated in exhibitions in Egypt, Germany, England, USA and Israel.
His paintings are to be found in museums in Europe, in the USA, in Israel and many private collections.
