RARE ANTIQUE MORSE CUBAN CIGAR COLOR LITHOGRAPH

A rare antique original color lithograph on paper depicting a pair of portraits of Professor Morse, a younger professor and then later in life. Professor Morse was the inventor of the telegraph machine and Morse code. Circa: 1925 to 1930. Titled in the print, professor Morse, upper to the center. Marked, Cuban Cigar Company, Title and Design Owned by Cuban Cigar Co., Cleveland, Ohio, lower to the center. Inscribed in the print, The national Association of Printers and Lithographers gratefully recognizes Bernard H. Ross of Willmann Paper Company Inc. For His efforts in The 1983 Production of NAPLs Publication, From Pioneers to Leaders. A paper label inscribed, Original Certified, circa 11870 to 1925, lower right. An etched plate inscribed, Original Antique Lithograph, lower to the center. Framed. A printed Certificate of Authenticity on the back. This label was made by Consolidated Lithographing Corporation in Brooklyn, New York and is a great example of the high quality embossing and gilding, and the beautiful colors that were achieved with a lithograph. It is great as a collectors item, or framed and hung in a study, library or even man-cave or bar. Unused, on a custom made frame with the certification sticker on place.
