Antique Biblical Pictorial Needlework
Antique 19th century hand embroidered pictorial needlework of a biblical scene from the book of Genesis with Laban and Jacob, Rebekah and Leah, with lovely floral border, signed by Frances Jane Southall, mounted and framed. Measures 23 x 28 inches, no glass, frame is in poor condition. Needlework is loose in the frame, thus can be easily shipped on just mounting. Needlework is in good condition. This item was part of Laura Fisher's estate. Laura Fisher was a New York based world renowned quilt expert, dealer and author, and in offering these textiles for sale we hope to honor her legacy of style and scholarship. We do our best to describe all items in detail and provide pictures. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
