Rare sefer with 3 parts, by R. Shalom Rabinowitz, a grandson of R. Zelmeleh of Volozhin. The first section includes biographical information on his grandfather not found in the classic Toldos Adam. The second section titled Beis Middos is Mussar. The third section includes halachic responsa. With approbations by R. Yitzchok Elchonon Spektor, R. Alexander Moshe Lapidos and others.
R. Shalom Rabinowitz (died circa 1872), was a son of R. Moshe Yehoshua, who was a Ra’M in the Volozhin Yeshiva. R. Moshe Yehoshua was a son-in-law of R. Zelmeleh of Volozhin (brother of R. Chaim). He learned under his great-uncle R. Chaim of Volozhin.
