The map of the world - an antique map, from the first edition of the Mercator-Hondius Atlas, dated 1630, but probably a late print around 1900. The basic calligraphy of the map of the world was designed by John Speed, and includes pterosaurs of Ptolemy, Mercator, Hondius and Julius Caesar at its four extremes. The first maps of Australia's northern coast in early appearance, in fair-good condition, water damage in the upper two corners, the yellowing of the page.
