WALTHER FUNK SECRECT CIRCULAR WAR PRODUCTION
1943 circular express letters marked 'Geheim' (Secrect) from the offices of Reich Minister for Economic Affairs Walther Funk. Mimeographed letters with a red border marking the matter urgent and secret, notifying governors, industry chambers, presidents and leaders of the industry and districts about Albert Speer's decree about the need and steps for so-called combing-out actions 'Auskaemmaktion', workers were to be withdrawn from production less important to the war effort and incorporated into the armaments industry. Some areas were deemed more important than others, some employees were deemed expandable from their current positions. More and more labor was required, which also led to the 'Operation Axis', using Italian POW's for forced labor after Italy's armistice with the Allies for example. Eight pages, two stapled at left upper corner. 8.25 x 11.75 inches.
