ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU JEWISH MOROCCAN COFFEE TABLE
An antique Art Nouveau style hand carved from wood coffee table made in Moroccan design. The table is made in the shape of a hexagon and adorned with an etched ornament on each side panel. The lid is decorated with a foliage etching and inlaid with mother of pearl and the image of David star to the center. Two shelves inside with an opening door on the front. Marked. Provenance: The present lot on auction form part of the Kuranda's family estate. The provenance of items can be tracked back to Felix Kuranda in XIX Century Austrian Empire, member of a well known family of bankers and politicians; directly related to the Karpeles, Wittelshofer, Milne And Lederer families. The most chronological recent lots are former belongings from USA veteran Major Thom Stellinger-Scott related through marriage with the Kuranda lineage. He was a veteran of Korean War as well as a reputed amateur photographer and artist. The Stellinger-Scott family resided for decades at Montauk Long Island NY. Vintage home decor, furniture, and collectibles.
