Purchasing jewelry and gems: The auction house provides a description of the diamonds and gems to the best of its understanding and based on the knowledge and experience of the auction house experts. However, the auction house does not undertake to accurately describe the items in terms of stone size, color, level of cleanliness, condition (including description of defects) and whether it has undergone treatment or painting and the buyer is responsible for inspecting the diamonds and gems before sale. For the avoidance of doubt, no option will be given to cancel the purchase of jewelry, diamonds and gems or return them after purchase, even if the description does not match the item.
In this auction like the previous auctions, unsold items are not offered for direct sale after auction ends! please bid and participate during the auction!
The sale commission is 20% + VAT on the commission only. in a week time from the auction.
A fee of 5% will be added to late payments.

New customers who have participated a few times in auctions will usually be approved with a limit on the amount you can offer at least initially. If you want to raise the amount or remove the limit, you are welcome to contact us by phone.
In this auction to Israeli clients, payment will be possible directly upon completion of the auction. You will receive the invoice for payment and then you can choose the requested shipping method.

We try to get the deliveries out of the gallery within two business days at the latest. The delivery time of the items depends on the Israeli post and global post work. Each buyer who pays on delivery, will receive a detailed email with the tracking number and a link to the tracking on the mail site accordingly.

Григорий Иванович Шульгин (1855-1923) – генерал-лейтенант, автор хорошо известного многим морякам и специалистам по истории мореходной астрономии учебника «Мореходная астрономия». Г.И.Шульгин с 1884 г. преподавал в военно-морских учебных заведениях, с 1910 по 1917 г.г. был начальником Николаевской морской академии, а в 1918-1923 г.г. был преподавателем Училища командного состава флота. Перу его принадлежат учебники по тригонометрии, морской съемке и другие пособия.
В настоящей книге впервые в учебной литературе того времени был изложен современный, принятый до сих пор метод астрономических линий при определении местоположения судна. Работа Г.И.Шульгина стала крупным шагом в развитии учебной литературы по мореходной астрономии. Она выдержала пять изданий, первое из которых вышло в 1899 году, а последнее – в 1924 году, посмертно.
В учебнике освещены такие темы, как сферическая геометрия и тригонометрия. В этих разделах представлены базовые сведения, которые необходимы для успешного освоения тонкостей навигации и ориентирования по звездам (о сфере, сферических углах и треугольниках, вычислении треугольников и проч.). Главной задачей мореходной астрономии является разработка способов определения по небесным светилам места судна в море, а также помощь в корректировке курса.
В курсе «Мореходной астрономии» освещены такие сложные аспекты мореходного дела, как работа с истинным и звездным временем, их сопоставление и переход из одной системы измерения в другую. В одном из разделов описываются морские угломерные инструменты и способы измерения высот светил. Рассмотрены основные измерительные приборы и способы работы с ними. Автор говорит о природе приливов и отливов, их влиянии на мореплаванье. Каждый вопрос Г.И.Шульгин рассматривает исторически, в его развитии, сообщая интересную информацию о способах навигации в разное время, о новых открытиях и изобретениях, увеличивших точность расчетов.
Г.И.Шульгин останавливается на многих общих понятиях из области астрономии, которые необходимы для ориентирования на море и при использовании специальных мореходных инструментов. Говорится о координатах светил на небесной сфере, видимом суточном движении небесных объектов, движении Солнца, продолжительности дня и ночи в зависимости от этого и т.д.
В книге помещено подробное описание нового английского морского календаря «Nautical Almanac», являвшегося пособием для мореплавателей, откуда также взяты многие задачи и примеры. Кроме того в новом издании «Мореходной астрономии» приведено описание звездного глобуса, использовавшегося на судах дальнего плавания. Книга носит практический характер. В учебнике приведено множество задач и примеров, позволяющих отрабатывать теоретические положения тех или иных разделов.
В своей работе Г.И.Шульгин обобщил все актуальные к началу XX века достижения мореходной астрономии, которая особенно активно развивалась на протяжении XIX столетия
