Francis Wheatley. An Irish Country Fair.
Etching, 8 3/16 x 9 ½ inches, signed F. Wheatley / 1786 in the plate. Published London, April 18, 1801 by John P. Thompson. An interesting genre scene of a country fair in Ireland, with country folk standing before booths erected of canvas and saplings, most of the men wearing greatcoats or surtout and round hats.
