Isaac Don Levine: Mitchell Pioneer of Air Power
(1892-1981) Russian journalist who worked with Soviet ex-spy Walter Krivitsky in 1939 to expose Stalin's purges. His book Mitchell: Pioneer of Air Power, Duell, Sloan and Pearce, New York, 1943. First edition, inscribed 'To Carl Martinus with my best wishes Cordially Isaac Don Lavine March, 1943.' First biography of Billy Mitchell, considered the father of the United States Air Force. With original dustjacket, slightly chipped, 420 pages x 9 inches. Good.
