Prisoner number label for a female prisoner held at the Ravensbruck concentration camp, removed from a uniform or clothing, 2.25 x 3.75 inches, with stitching holes and frayed edges. The label bears the number 37400, identifying her as JOSEFA KADLECOVA, born 7.3.1898, in Chlum, Czechoslovakia, held at the Budweis prison, transferred to the Prag-Pankratz prison and transferred to the Gestapo prison 'Kleine Festung' (Small Fortress) at Theresienstadt on 11.2.1944 released for transport on 20.4.1944 to the concentration camp Ravensbruck in April of 1944, she was then transferred for forced labor to the subcamp Salzgitter-Watenstedt. In the Salzgitter-Wattenstedt concentration camp, the SS held around 3,500 concentration camp prisoners near the village of Leinde near Salzgitter-Wattenstedt. There they had been forced to work in the factory of Stahlwerke Braunschweig GmbH. Josefa Kadlecova was eventually liberated and survived.
