Including all the laws and halachahs written in the Shulchan Aruch and its commentaries, with all the laws dispersed among the responsa of the later authorites ... which were accepted as halachah. With two commentaries - Mikveh Mayim and Mekor Mayim Chaim. by Rabbi Tzvi Grodzinsky, rabbi of Omaha (United States). One of the first books of halachah printed in the United States. It is possibly the first halachic work printed in America. With the approbation of Rabbi Yitzchak Elchanan Spektor of Kovno, which was sent to America.
The author was born in 1857, and studied under his relative, Rabbi David Shlomo Grodzinsky of Ivia, and in Kovno and at the Volozhin Yeshiva. He immigrated to the United States in 1891 and served as rabbi of Omaha.
