Defaced flag of the Soviet Union - embroidered cloth
26x56 cm.
Flag of the Soviet Union with embroidered symbol of the hammer and sickle. At center of the emblem are embroidered trees in flames. This was apparently made by an opponent of the Soviet Union and was intended to disgrace the country and signal that the Soviet Union was in flames. In addition, the flag is missing the red star that normally appears above the hammer and sickle. The star symbolizes the pride of the Soviet Union, and was, therefore, deliberately omitted.
Very fine condition.
